Bioplastic Exploration
Material Research/Testing
For this project I chose to explore and test the limits of biomaterials, specifically bioplastics. Mixing different recipes to understand the chemistry of the material and what ingredients would plasticize. I worked on creating a material that would be heat formable and tested how it performed on various molds. I used a variety of different ingredients and capitalized on reusing food waste to create interesting textures and consistencies. Here I document my findings and struggles throughout the process.
