What: SUPPORTING THE REMOTE WORKER
The trend of remote work was already growing before 2020. But when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it skyrocketed. While 46% say their organizations plan on making remote work permanent. More people working remotely brings a new set of challenges that can negatively impact productivity if not addressed.
How can we design a product that empowers remote workers struggling in their current WFH environment?
Problems people face while working remotely like burnout, depression, anxiety, concentration difficulty, and low productivity all stem from mental fatigue.
Ways to counteract this mental fatigue involve properly “unplugging” from work at the end of the day with regular work hours, staying organized and maintaining a dedicated workspace, and controlling your environmental distractions and overstimulation.
